Building software for a world that won't sit still.

I'm Shashank — a software engineer working across backend systems, cloud-native infrastructure and AI-first products. I'm especially passionate about healthcare: building software and AI that helps clinicians, patients and researchers solve problems that matter.

Where I work

Backend systems
REST APIs and services in Node.js, Fastify, Laravel and CodeIgniter — including third-party payment and logistics integrations.
Full-stack product
React and TypeScript interfaces built on top of the same systems, packaged for web and desktop with Electron.
Cloud & infrastructure
AWS and Azure workloads, containerisation, and compliance automation with Chef, InSpec and Ansible.
AI engineering
LLM-backed workflows and agentic control planes constrained by deterministic domain logic.

A problem-solver, first.

I'm a Computer Science Engineer working across full-stack development, backend systems and cloud-native infrastructure. I care more about whether something works in the real world than whether it looks right in theory — execution, reliability and shipping production-ready systems are what drive me.

The way I build has changed with AI. Instead of writing every line by hand, I spend more time structuring requirements, designing good prompts and letting tools handle execution where it makes sense. I thrive in fast-paced environments where the goal is to think, iterate and move quickly. Where I want this to lead is healthcare and regenerative medicine — using engineering and AI to change how medicine reaches people, not just to digitise what already exists.

  1. 01

    Build for reality

Systems should survive real traffic, edge cases and operational pressure — not just the happy path in a demo.

  2. 02

    Understand before automating

Good architecture starts with the user, the workflow and the constraints. Code is the last step, not the first.

  3. 03

    AI as leverage

Use AI to raise engineering velocity without outsourcing engineering judgement to a model.

  1. Achyrix

    Trying to build

    July 2026 — Present

    Explore the Achyrix architecture
    • Bootstrapping and building an intelligent Global Restaurant OS from the ground up, aiming to build a scalable software company.
    • Architected a multi-tenant, offline-first application using React, Fastify and Electron, featuring a robust local SQLite sync engine.
    • Designed an Agentic Decision Intelligence (ADI) control plane utilizing LLMs to automate complex restaurant workflows, securely isolated via IPC ContextBridges.
    • Implemented a comprehensive automated E2E Breakage Matrix using Playwright to guarantee zero data loss in high-concurrency environments.
  2. SyncroCore

    Software Development Engineer (SDE)

    Jan 2025 — April 2026

    • Built backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js, Laravel and CodeIgniter for a point-of-sale platform used by multiple U.S. restaurants.
    • Integrated Stripe, NMI, Square, DoorDash and ShipStation into a custom POS system — owning the failure handling each provider requires.
    • Implemented asynchronous programming and containerization for scalability and performance.
  3. Progress Chef

    Technical Intern

    Aug 2023 — Aug 2024

    • Developed cookbooks to automate CIS and STIG compliance remediation for Windows Server and Linux environments.
    • Worked with EC2 and Azure virtual machines, including member servers and domain controllers.
    • Gained hands-on experience with InSpec, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell and Git.

Achyrix

  • Agentic Decision Intelligence
  • Offline-first
  • Multi-tenant architecture
  • Edge inference

A local-first restaurant OS that unifies POS, kitchen, inventory, labour, delivery and payments — then runs 42 deterministic decision agents over that single context to tell an owner the next best action, with human approval on every move.

The problem
A typical independent restaurant runs six to ten disconnected apps. None of them share a definition of a sale, an item or a shift, so the truth has to be stitched together manually every day.
What I owned
Bootstrapping and building the product from the ground up, with the goal of a scalable software company rather than a single deployment.

Decentralized Voting System

  • Solana
  • Rust
  • Smart contracts
  • Web3

On-chain vote recording for tamper resistance, paired with off-chain identity verification so one verified person maps to exactly one ballot.

The problem
A fully on-chain election has no way to know whether a wallet corresponds to an eligible human, which makes duplicate voting trivial.
What I owned
Designed the split between on-chain vote storage and off-chain verification.

Contextual Q&A System

  • LangChain
  • Retrieval
  • GPT-Index
  • TensorFlow

Context-aware retrieval over a document corpus, so answers are grounded in the source material instead of generated from a model's memory.

The problem
A language model asked about private documents will answer confidently from memory instead of from the source.
What I owned
Built the indexing and retrieval pipeline and the answer composition step.

05Direction

Revolutionising healthcare.

The sector I want to build in. My ambition is to find something genuinely new there — AI-driven medicine that helps people at scale, not software that happens to sit inside a hospital.

  1. 01

AI that changes how medicine is practised

Earlier diagnosis, clinical decision support that genuinely helps a clinician, and systems that turn scattered patient data into outcomes — not another dashboard on top of the same records.

  2. 02

Finding something new in the space

I want to work on the unsolved parts of healthcare and bring engineering rigour to research-grade problems, where the remaining leaps still are.

  3. 03

    Regenerative medicine and longevity

Tissue engineering, cell therapy and longevity science fascinate me — particularly the software, data and modelling layer that decides how fast the science can move.

  4. 04

    Technology that serves people

The work worth doing extends human health and human capability. That's the direction I want my engineering to point in.
